The International Conference on Evidence-Based Aquatic Therapy (ICEBAT) takes place
around the world every two years. Aquatic Therapy University is pleased to share information about your next opportunity to attend.
The next ICEBAT2026 will be held in Toronto,
Canada, hosted by Canadian Aquatic Rehab and the Association of International
Aquatic Therapy Faculty (IATF).

It is a scientific, peer-reviewed conference offering a mix of podium presentations, workshops, posters and pool sessions that are focused on the current state of the evidence in the practice of aquatic therapy. The latest evidence in orthopedics, pediatrics, and chronic disease are just some of the topics presented by our international speakers, including Michael Murray and Emily Dunlap from the USA.
Clinical practice must be justified through the application of research results in
combination with professional expertise and accounting for the patient’s preferences.
These are the cornerstones of evidence based clinical practice. Aquatic therapy research
has increased enormously and supports the health effects of active aquatic therapy in
many patient groups with moderate to large effect sizes.
