About ATU

Do you bleed chlorine? Do you want to?

ATU Aquatic Therapy Seminars is an international provider of live and distant learning continuing education for healthcare providers who are already licensed or otherwise recognized to practice in their states and countries.

We are here to help you keep your licenses current and to expand your clinical skills by offering state-of-the-art continuing education. One-hundred percent of our courses are related to your favorite treatment technique, aquatic therapy.

ATU Aquatic Therapy Seminars has provided continuing education training, both through live seminars and distance learning, since it was founded in 2009. We have trained 1000s of therapists, in 30+ states and 9 countries, and trained 14 ATU instructors over the last decade. In 2012, we became one of the first CE entities to seek preapproval for all of our education through the rigorous Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.

ATU is a continuing education provider with a singular focus: aquatic therapy. ATU is not a trade or professional school. However, therapists and therapist’s assistants who graduate with an associate’s, bachelor’s and even doctoral degree often do not have the training necessary to be skillful in their use of aquatic therapy.

ATU offers a tiered, evidence-based, continuing education progression for the aquatic therapy provider. At ATU, expect your CE horizons to be broadened and your abilities challenged. Every single one of our 2-day continuing education classes is packed full of demanding cutting-edge content.

After five classes, you will have earned enough credits for your Aquaticistâ„  Certificate. We even offer 10-day training Intensives where you can mix and match classes and get all 84-hours for you Type-A’s out there who can’t wait for more professional enhancement.

At ATU, expect to be taught by the best-of-the-best, as all of our diverse continuing education courses are led only by licensed therapists, PhDs or MDs.

For over 20 years, we have had our finger on the pulse of aquatic therapy worldwide (10 years as ATU!). Now it is time for the next generation in training options. Plan your aquatic future by becoming an aquatic guru today.

But come prepared; we believe it will be life-changing!

If you are feeling rusty and stale, come get refreshed at an ATU training hub near you.

We are here to help shine you up!

ATU INSTRUCTORS

Below is a list of current ATU faculty. These instructors teach at our ATU campuses and may be available to teach your custom course. Matches are made when an instructor either requests to teach a class within their specialization — or a facility requests a specific instructor.

While we will make every effort to reserve your desired instructor, please be advised that they may not be available on the days you are holding your course.

In water, gravity loses its strength and the body’s joints are unloaded, yet available, unlike when positioned on land. The warmth of the water establishes an environment of relaxation and peacefulness. The client is touched and touch by itself is often healing.
